Fun Things to Do with Kids
Here are a few local activities that are fun for kids (and grownup kids also):
-
Swim at Voyager Village
Winter, Fall, Spring, or just a stormy day, the indoor swimming pool at Voyager Village is open to the public for a ~$5 per-person fee. Just stop at the bar to pay and pick up the access fob (locker rooms and showers as well).
-
Mini-Golf
At the north end of Siren is a full featured mini golf course. At Voyager Village, there is a small course near the tennis courts (BYOP - Bring your own putter).
-
Kick Golf at Voyager Village
It is a fun combination of golf and soccer. The par-3 golf course also has kick-golf holes. “Green fees” and balls are available at the pro-shop
-
Tube or Kayak
The Namekagon River has several rental agencies for kayaks and tubes as well as shuttle service. Outfitter’s can be found here. Note that some of the adult groups of tubes may be in quite the party mood.
-
Winter - Sledding
There is a nice sledding hill at hole 1 of the Voyager Village par-3 course.
-
Par-3 Golf
Fox Run north of Webster and Voyager Village both have par-3 courses where kids can learn and play without the length or stress of a full course.
